5.7.15: Teacher Appreciation
What do you do when you have three kids in the same classes but those kids have english kindergarten, spanish kindergarten and the after school care teachers? Well you do your best to say thank you to everyone and send gifts on the bus hoping they get distributed correctly. Success? Not 100% sure - but we definitely got close.
5.4.15: Ear muffs or not
Today during craft time in after school care, Stella made these ear muffs...or so I thought they were ear muffs. Then I was corrected because apparently it was 'may the fourth be with you' day. Seriously, Star Wars was the last thing from my mind. Glad the care teachers have a sense of humor and my daughter is so patient with me.
4.26.15: Ferris Wheel
The challenge
Stella and Brant
Fiona, me and Daphne
We thought we'd check out the county fair only to discover the scene was a little old for the girls. We opted to try the ferris wheel for the first time ever (if you know me, you know Brant was the instigator of this). The girls were fearless - which was amazing to see. I tried to avoid squirming too much - had to seem tough in front of the kids.
Our reward for surviving the ferris wheel - cotton candy
Daphne, Stella, me, Fiona - Brant doesn't like cotton candy which meant more for us girls.
4.23.15: Stella Robot
Pick up from school today was a little more exciting than normal. We arrived to giant smiles from Daphne and Fiona (giggling nonstop) and then a robot came out to greet us. We decided the robot was cute and decided to bring it home with us. Now....if only we can find Stella.
4.18.15: Cowgirls + Ducks
A western themed birthday party complete with cowgirl hats, bandanas, and carousel rides. Yes those are some big smiles.
Daphne, Fiona, Stella
We returned home to find some ducks in our pool for the first time. It isn't very common to find ducks in the desert, but I suppose even ducks need a break from the heat once in a while.
4.17.15: Art Exhibit
Stella
Today we went to the Art Show at the girls' school. Their artwork was on display along with artwork from every student at their school. So proud of my little artists.

4.10.15: Santa Cruz Preview
For only the third time since the girls have been born (1st - 30 hour house hunting in Tucson, 2nd - 10 year anniversary weekend in San Francisco) we left the girls overnight (for several nights). Nene heroically came to watch the girls while Brant and I checked out Santa Cruz, CA. Brant has been offered a job and we wanted to check out the city and see if it was worthy of our final Robertson move. That's right, if we move - it will be the final place we move.
We spent the trip checking out schools, housing (yikes - $500/sqft), and of course made our way to the ocean. The girls did wonderful with Nene who kept them very busy and in great spirits. A big thank you to Nene, this is the first time anyone has watched the girls on their own overnight - prior we've always had dual coverage. Thankfully at five years old, the girls are more than capable of communicating their demands...oops, I mean needs.
Sea Lions - so noisy!
4.5.15: Naked Easter Egg Decorating
Stella, Daphne, Fiona
Sometimes dying easter eggs provides too much risk for our favorite clothes. This year we decided to forgo our clothing and dye easter eggs in our craft aprons. Of course, this meant we didn't get dye on anything - but if we would have worn clothes, then we would have - you just can't win.
4.4.15: Dance Floor
Stella, Daphne, Fiona
Growing up, Kelly and I performed on a 2' x 3' piece of plywood for countless hours pretending to have tap, ballet, and dance recitals. When replacing the table top that had seen a life as an office desk, changing table, and three years of triplet arts and crafts, I couldn't resist but have the girls enjoy their own dance floor as well. Turns out - it is a little small for three kids, but they still had a great time dancing to Katy Perry.
Our favorite tree at the zoo.
3.28.15: Brost Play date
Kim, Kari, Alyssa, Zachary, Stella, Fiona, Daphne
Thanks to Kim's parents being snowbirds in AZ, we were able to unite for our annual play date. It was unseasonably hot, but the kids were troopers and made a good effort to play before resorting to the shade for snacks.
