2.7.15: Preparing for valentine's day

We spent time making our valentine's day boxes and writing a valentine's card for all 22 kids in Spanish kindergarten class.  Turns out the girls liked their valentine's so much, they wrote one to themselves.

1.28.15: Compassion

Fiona wasn't feeling well and her sisters took especially good care of her.  When they arrived home, she had made this sign for them.  You just can't teach this kind of compassion.

1.19.15: January rain

Okay - maybe it wasn't real rain, but the weather today was absolutely beautiful and the girls and I decided it seemed appropriate to play in the sprinklers.  Felt a little odd playing in the water in the middle of January - but we had a blast - so that is all that matters.

Holiday + ridiculous sunshine = sprinkler time

1.16.15: 100th day of school

Today was the girls' 100th day of school.  They got to wear special hats and celebrate all day.  Stella, Fiona and Daphne are now closer to first grade than kindergarten.

1.10.15: Resolutions + Samurai party

Daphne, Fiona and Stella made resolutions at school for the new year. These little ladies are so thoughtful and considerate.

Today we experienced our first martial arts/samurai party.   The highlights included ninja games, cutting the birthday cake with a sword, and a samurai sword party favor that lasted about a week before it disappeared.

1.5.15: Snuggles

Sometimes, you just need mama snuggles (Fiona, Daphne, Stella).

1.3.15: Adventure to Nene's

Whenever we go to Nene's house we stay busy, this trip was no different.  Upon arrival we had countless craft stations established as well as our snack table complete with snack.  At night Nene took each of the girls out in her golf cart to tour the neighbors lights.

We found time to go miniature golfing in a blacklight room, create a giant paper clip chain longer than all the Robertson family members and even squeezed in a little furniture shopping.  Brant thought of some very creative ways to entertain the girls in these furniture stores.  Did you know how entertained a 5yo is from a remote that reclines a chair?  Turns out very!

1.1.15: Snow

Fiona, Daphne and Stella awoke this morning, the first day of 2015, to a light dusting of snow.  This was only the second snow we have ever had since living in Tucson.  We rushed outside before the morning sun melted the snow and made a snowman.
There wasn't enough snow to support a carrot nose, so we turned it into a carrot hat.  With green bean legs, sticks for arms and pebble eyes, our snowman was complete....
until Daphne decided that the green bean legs would be better suited inside a snowball, then our snowman had a modification.

12.30.14: Bowling statues

Enjoying the winter break from school and work, we adventured to the bowling alley.  The girls discovered these crevices while we were bowling and decided to play statue while they were waiting for their turn.

12.25.14: Christmas

Turns out Santa and Olive Starglimmer can arrive the same night.  Stella awoke totally shocked that the tooth fairy made it to her room even though it was Christmas Eve.

Christmas was fantastic as always.  Santa brought the girls each their own tablet. To say they were excited is an understatement.  As usual, they received more presents than they could ever need but truly appreciated them all.  We have some amazing little girls.
