6.11.15: SIX

The most fantastic children in the world!  It has been an amazing six years and we look forward to watching these little ladies grow up.  We love you girls - more than you can ever imagine.

6.7.15: Birthday Party

This year the girls had their birthday party at a gymnastics studio.  They were able to climb through a giant obstacle course, swing from ropes, jump in a giant foam pit and bounce in a jumpy house.  Add friends, pizza, and cupcakes to that and we had some very happy (yet exhausted) girls.

6.6.15: Toothless Close-ups

It seems as though front toothless time is coming to an end for Fiona and Stella as their front teeth are starting to poke through.   I decided it was important to capture these toothless grins one last time.

5.30.15: Mt. Lemmon

Stella, Fiona, and Daphne enjoying the view from Mt. Lemmon while escaping the heat.  We went for a lovely hike around the summit, had a picnic and played outdoor games.

5.28.15: No more front teeth

It's official - no one in our house under six has front teeth.
Information about our tooth fairy:
Her name is Olive Starglimmer.  She leaves a dollar bill for each tooth and usually a chocolate coin.  The girls often leave her notes and she usually responds to their questions.  She does not respond to requests for additional chocolate or money regardless of how hard they try :)

5.23.15: Goodbye murals

In preparation for putting our house on the market, the girls agreed to paint over their wall murals.  The murals were painted when the girls were three and designed completely by the girls.   They were thrilled to get to paint on their walls but a little bored by the solid color wall when we were done.

5.20.15: Last Day of Kindergarten

5.18.15: Nana and Daddy visiting school

With a summer birthday, the girls were able to celebrate early with their kindergarten class.  Nana and Daddy brought cupcakes to school and Nana got to read a book to the class.

5.15.15: Water Day

A final celebration at school before graduating from kindergarten included a day full of outdoor activities, games and of course getting the teachers wet.  Oddly, it was a rather cold day, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

5.10.15: Ostrich Farm

We have wanted to visit the Ostrich Farm for years and just never made the trek.  Today we adventured to feed deer, goats, ostrich and lorikeets.  Once Brant and I got over the worry of losing digits, we all had a great time.  There was even a monster truck ride that went all over the desert - and I (stupidly) sat at the back of the truck - lesson learned.

5.7.15: Teacher Appreciation

What do you do when you have three kids in the same classes but those kids have english kindergarten, spanish kindergarten and the after school care teachers?  Well you do your best to say thank you to everyone and send gifts on the bus hoping they get distributed correctly. Success?  Not 100% sure - but we definitely got close.

5.4.15: Ear muffs or not

Today during craft time in after school care, Stella made these ear muffs...or so I thought they were ear muffs.  Then I was corrected because apparently it was 'may the fourth be with you' day.   Seriously,  Star Wars was the last thing from my mind.  Glad the care teachers have a sense of humor and my daughter is so patient with me.

4.26.15: Ferris Wheel

The challenge

Stella and Brant

Fiona, me and Daphne

We thought we'd check out the county fair only to discover the scene was a little old for the girls.  We opted to try the ferris wheel for the first time ever (if you know me, you know Brant was the instigator of this).  The girls were fearless - which was amazing to see.  I tried to avoid squirming too much - had to seem tough in front of the kids.

Our reward for surviving the ferris wheel - cotton candy
Daphne, Stella, me, Fiona - Brant doesn't like cotton candy which meant more for us girls.

4.23.15: Stella Robot

Pick up from school today was a little more exciting than normal.  We arrived to giant smiles from Daphne and Fiona (giggling nonstop) and then a robot came out to greet us.  We decided the robot was cute and decided to bring it home with us.  Now....if only we can find Stella.

4.18.15: Cowgirls + Ducks

A western themed birthday party complete with cowgirl hats, bandanas, and carousel rides.  Yes those are some big smiles.
Daphne, Fiona, Stella

We returned home to find some ducks in our pool for the first time.  It isn't very common to find ducks in the desert, but I suppose even ducks need a break from the heat once in a while.

4.17.15: Art Exhibit

Today we went to the Art Show at the girls' school.  Their artwork was on display along with artwork from every student at their school.  So proud of my little artists.
