The girls started Pre-K (also known as Bears Class) today and as we walked into the classroom the teachers said "Yay, the three little bears are here". It was adorable, the girls got really excited, and I think the teachers had coordinated. It is so great to have the girls loving their school, teachers, and friends. I can't believe they are old enough to be in Pre-K, but I am also amazed at the little people that they have become. I couldn't be more proud of my little bears.
7.24.13: Destination Kentucky
Mission #1: Spend time with Great Nana
Mission #2: Water Great Nana's flowers
Mission #3: Attend family reunion
Mission #4: Make Uncle Evan and Aunt Melissa dance the hokey pokey
Mission #5: Play in the grass and explore the farm
Mission #6: Visit Cumberland Falls (first waterfall)
Mission #7: Enjoy every last minute in Indiana and Kentucky (including the baggage scale) visiting with so many family and friends.
7.16.13: Destination Indiana
We have been planning this trip for almost a year, a huge family adventure to Indiana and Kentucky. We began our trip in Indiana and made sure to stay very busy with Nana, Aunt Melissa, Uncle Evan, Grace, Di and Chris.
Mission #1: Arrive safely in Indianapolis and allow Mama and Daddy time to recover from a very long day. Insert Nana! Meet Cammie dog and try not to overwhelm her.
Mission #2: Indianapolis Children's Museum
Mission #3: Get Stella a haircut. Fiona and Stella have been complaining about how their friends (and some teachers) can not tell them apart. We decided it was time for someone get a shorter haircut. Fiona likes to wear pigtails and Stella likes her hair down - so as a group we decided that Stella would get the shorter hair. On the drive home Daphne said, "Phew, I can finally tell my sisters apart".
Mission #4: Celebrate Uncle Evan's birthday
Mission #5: Decorate Nana's front yard bricks + play in grass
Mission #6: Paint our own T-Shirts with Aunt Melissa and Grace
Mission #7: Zoo (including Dolphin show)
Mission #8: Stay busy (Found triplet slide, went bowling, miniature golf, visit Nana's work, play date/dinner with Grace, walk Cammie and so much more)
7.6.13: 5th annual Family Day
Today was our fifth annual family day, the day we finally had all of our girls home from the hospital back in 2009. This is a very important day for us as it always brings back memories of those tough weeks while the girls were in the NICU and then came home one at a time. It also reminds us how lucky we are to have a happy and healthy family - none of which we take for granted. We celebrated by spending the day together and, as is our tradition, getting pictures taken (left to right: Stella, Daphne, Fiona). We love you girls!
7.3.13: Afternoons with Nene
For some reason, the girls' school doesn't have an afternoon program in July. The first couple of days, Nene came down to help us and picked the girls up from school and kept Stella, Daphne and Fiona very busy building and creating in the afternoons.
